Hypnotherapy is highly effective in the treatment of refractory IBS.
People who suffer from irritable bowel syndrome describe symptoms such as stomach cramps, bloating, diarrhoea and constipation. Between fifteen and twenty percent of the population suffers from IBS.
Our clients describe their dread at the thought of travelling by coach and tell us how they need to sit next to the exit to the closest loo while visiting public places such as the cinema.
Fortunately, we can help IBS sufferers take back control of their bodies today using hypnotherapy. Here's what one of our client's had to say on completion of our protocol:

Fortunately, we can help IBS sufferers take back control of their bodies today using hypnotherapy. Here's what one of our client's had to say on completion of our protocol:
“I wanted to let you know that I listened to the IBS protocol daily for 30 plus days and now listen to it a few times each week. It has been about 4 months now since I started. It has made a massive difference to my IBS and I can now eat whatever I want. This being “cured” has given me more confidence generally and helped hugely with my depression and mood which I have always felt were linked to the IBS.
I just wanted to thank you for sending me the IBS protocol and to let you know how successful it has been for me and the difference that it has made.” |
Not only have we experienced great success with our clients, but there are many studies that confirm our findings.
In the first study below, conducted in 1984, thirty patients with severe refractory irritable bowel syndrome were randomly allocated to treatment with either hypnotherapy or psychotherapy and placebo. The psychotherapy patients showed a small but significant improvement in abdominal pain, abdominal distension, and general well-being but not in bowel habit. The hypnotherapy patients showed a dramatic improvement in all features, the difference between the two groups being highly significant. In the hypnotherapy group no relapses were recorded during the 3-month follow-up period, and no substitution symptoms were observed. |
